Please send me some paypal info to my email address (as provided in the field "Mail (will not be published) (required)". I feel obligated to send you something at least!

In the Corvan Ridge campaign, the framerates are 40+

Right, the effects are definitely secondary to being able to play against your buddies over the internet.

The dice to replace cards would be a temporary thing. You CAN do it if you want for now, until the card system is defined and in place. Thanks for the link, I'll be checking it out.

Hi

Nice looking sample game. What sort of framerates and tris rendered are we seeing here?

I'm not too concerned about the effects being added, just being able to play a game over the internet would be enough for me :).

It's an interesting idea about the dice replacing the cards but might be a bit of bookkeeping to note what's already been drawn, etc. If you want to have a look at a Piquet style game have a look at http://www.larsonweb.com/Transfer/Miniatures/Tolkien/MinasTirith/MinasTirith.htm where Kai has written some rules for the siege of Minas Tirith based on Piquet, and included decks and deck construction details.

Cheers

Well, like I said, the PRIMARY concern of VT is to represent a miniatures table for wargaming. While there will be some effects added in, I do like the idea of setting things on fire and smoke rising.
But of course, those additional things come under the umbrella of 'future release' and keeping focused on the primary goal will keep from pushing VT back months and months scrambling to put in 'just one more thing'.
