			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Currently in beta is some totally new gameplay features for Expedition:Beyond the Walls. Basically, the &#8220;destination&#8221; tasks are being changed to something a bit more interactive. This will give the players a bit more to do at the destination - you&#8217;ll have a bigger impact on the outcome as well as choose which crewmen you&#8217;ll risk.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s currently in beta and the code is being hammered away. I&#8217;ll have some screenshots posted after some new art is created. Stay tuned!</p>

<p>We&#8217;re putting on the final touches to an iPhone/iPod dice game. The general idea is you create an expedition crew and set off for various destinations. Dice are rolled that represent movement or disasters encountered along the route. Once you get to the destination, your crew will need to use its skills to unlock the secrets there.</p>

<p>The first die is basic movement (1 step), the second is ancient ruins that have been found, while the third is rally - which improves the crew&#8217;s skills for a short time. Not all dice are good of course, for instance, increased fatigue and injuries are also common.</p>
<p><strong>Basic Mechanics</strong></p>
<p>The crew moves along the route and automatically stops at each waypoint. If the exact number of steps lands the crew on the waypoint, fitness is improved and fatigue is reduced. If they &#8220;overshoot&#8221; the extra movement is lost and there is an additional fatigue hit.</p>
<p>The number of dice rolled and the number of rerolls has a direct impact on the number of days the series takes. Provisions must be carried to feed the crew as they travel - but hire some hunters or bring along bows and you&#8217;ll extend the distance your crew can travel while using less food.</p>
